Health and Wellbeing

We believe that our people’s mental wellbeing is equally as important as their physical wellbeing. That’s why we have a comprehensive holistic, risk-based health and wellbeing program to look after our people and promote positive mental health. This is offered to all employees and permanent contractors.

FY20 highlights

More than 78% of people voluntarily participated
in health programs. One of the benefits included the
reduction in high-risk health categories for some
participants. The following consultations were undertaken:

  • 6,828 voluntary one-on-one consultations
    with onsite physiologists
  • 1,367 employees and contractors attended at
    least one, with 921 people attending at least
    two consultations
  • 139 confidential counselling sessions for
    employees and their family members
  • Over the long term we have seen a reduction in individuals in high risk categories for a number of measures including:
    • Cholesterol – 77%
    • Body Mass Index – 26%
    • Diastolic blood pressure – 73%
  • Additional onsite Health and Wellbeing activities include ‘warm-up for work’ sessions, fatigue prevention, health education and manual handling education sessions and mindfulness/breathing training
